Ok, so this is honestly one of the most iconic fics ever so y'all prob already know about this, but one of the strangest HP fics I've ever read is probably "Hogwarts School of Prayers and Miracles." (Here's the link on ff.net!) It's supposedly written by an evangelical Christian mom (by the pseudonym of "proudhousewife") and changes the entire universe so that it's basically just about Harry and his friends (now American) who go to school to "learn" how to be Christians. (Voldemort is now apparently conspiring with Congress to illegalize Christianity.) It's probably the weirdest HP fic I've read because of lines like "Lovely, ladylike tears began to roll down [Hermione's] terrified face." It's almost certainly a parody, but it's ridiculous (and ridiculously funny) all the same :)
